Manual
FairThe manual is clearly-written. It includes administration directions and scoring instructions. A clear description of the norming sample is not included. The data are limited due to a small and seemingly narrow sample.

Validity
FairThe data are weak and limited. Correlation with the Remote Associations Test was .70 based on the responses of 50 college students.

Reliability
FairWhile internal consistency is reported to range from .63 to .99 the sample is very small (14 third graders and 139 fourth graders) and not adequately described. Split-half reliability is reported at .90 based on 53 students.

Utility
GoodThis instrument consists of 20 items in riddle format. The respondent must find the correct answer to each riddle. It can be administered by any professional to groups or individuals, untimed, in about 30 to 35 minutes.

Interpretation
FairPercentile ranks are presented in table form. Rankings are based on a total of 107 college students. There is no discussion of score application. The limited data makes interpretation difficult.
