Good	The manual seems well-organized and clearly written. It includes a discussion of: definition and purposes, the target populations, uses, history and development, validity and reliability evidence, and administration directions.

Validity
Fair	Concurrent validity was based on a composite score consisting of teacher ratings of creativeness and experimenter ratings of a picture and a brief dictated story, with 62 subjects ages 3-6 r=.38, with 14 subjects ages 4-5 r=.50, and 18 children r=.32. Con

Reliability
Fair	Internal Consistency is reported at .92. The sample is small and not described.

Utility
Excellent	Administration is recommended to groups of parents while they visit the school. There are 50 questions on a Likert-type scale from “no” to “definitely.” Responses are related to observations of the child’s interests and behaviors. The measure requires 20-35 minutes to complete. Scoring is by external service. Instructions to parents are clear.

Interpretation
Fair	Reports scores for four dimensions: Originality, imagination, playfulness, independence-perseverance, and many interests. Percentile and NCE are reported. However, norms are based on 114 urban, rural, suburban, other relevant characteristics of subjects are not reported. Therefore, interpretation and applications of scores is difficult.

Propriety
Fair	There is an effort to caution against misuses.
