GoodCross validities for the creativity score were in the .40’s. Concurrent validity was .30 with artistic potential. There were also significant predictive validity.

Reliability
GoodCoefficient alpha across grade level and scores ranged from .77 to .91. Alpha for the creativity subscore was .79 to .82. Stability is not reported.

Utility
ExcellentThe measure can be administered by any professional in group settings in about 1 hour. The instructions are clear. There are 150 multiple-choice items. Scoring is externally by the publisher.

Interpretation
ExcellentThere are clear descriptions of each score, and scoring procedures. Percentile rankings are provided. The norms are based on the scores of over 10,000 Utah students in grades 4 through 12.

Propriety
GoodThere is a discussion concerning the proper uses of the measure and application of the scores.

MMY 1995: This is an expansion of the Biographical Inventory Form U. It is best used as part of a battery. “At risk” identification is questionable.
