Fair Manual provides a discussion of: its definition and purpose, administration directions, its history and development, and citations of research.

Fair Development started in 1949. The present list of items emerged from the language, past studies, intuitive and subjective appraisal, testing, and a 3 year evaluation.

Fair Stability was found to be .54. Inter-rater agreement with observers on 5 random cases was .61 to .75. Reliability data appears to be limited.

Fair This instrument is designed to be administered by a trained professional. It consists of a 300 work checklist. None of the 24 indices are labeled “creativity.” Inferences about creativity can be made using score interpretation.

Good Scales include: Defensiveness, Favorable items, Unfavorable items, Self confidence, Self-control, Labiality, Personal adjustment, Need, Order, Interception, Heterosexuality, Autonomy, Aggression, Change and others. Several scoring options are available. The rational for scoring is presented

Creativity study using this check list : MacKinnon (1963). Creativity and images of self. (In) White, R. The study of lives. NY. Atherton Press p. 250-279. CCL comments: Local scoring is complicated. Some words are dated, and may not be appropriate for modern 11 and 12 year old students.
