Good The inventory significantly discriminated between clinically judged self-actualizing and non-self-actualizing groups on 11 of 12 scales. Concurrent validity was also established through a series of studies.

Fair Stability, based on a sample of 48 college students over one week, ranged from .52 to .82.

Fair This measure can be administered to groups or individuals, untimed in about 30-40 minutes. Scoring is by hand locally (about 2 minutes) or by service. There are 150 items which take about 30 minutes to complete.

Good Norms are based on 2,067 entering college freshmen at Western and Midwestern liberal arts colleges. Percentile scales are provided. A detailed section on interpretation is provided in the manual.
